Policies

Policies serve as the guiding principles that uphold our shared values and ensure consistent, respectful, and safe experiences for all. At YMCA Canada, our policies reflect our commitment to equity, dignity, and the well-being of our staff and volunteers and every individual we serve.

If you have questions about any of our policies, please contact us.

  • International Safeguarding Policy

YMCAs in Canada have collectively committed to the safety and protection of all children and young people participating in all aspects of our programs. Our National Child Safeguarding commitment is the YMCA’s coordinated effort for ensuring safety standards in our programs through ongoing policy, training, supervision requirements, reporting protocols, and facility controls.

  • Privacy Policy

YMCA Canada recognizes the importance of your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website and our programs and services.

  • Whistleblower Policy

At YMCA Canada we are committed to fostering an environment built on trust, integrity, and respect. Our reputation as a mission-driven charity depends on each of us upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct. To support this, we have established a confidential and anonymous reporting system.

  • YMCA Canada Feedback Policy

YMCA Canada recognizes that from time to time there may be compliments, comments, or complaints from our stakeholders. We view this feedback as an opportunity to learn, to improve, and in the case of a complaint, it’s a chance to put things right for the person or organization that has made the complaint.
