Global engagement has always been part of who we are.
YMCA Canada is a member of World YMCA, a global YMCA movement that spans 120 countries, 12,000 locations, and reaches 60 million people each year. Together, we believe that through international cooperation and collective action, we can harness the strength of our global partners and fellow YMCAs to create lasting, local impact.

Vision 2030
Vision 2030 is a joint Vision and Mission for the global YMCA movement, which includes four Pillars of Impact that reflect the YMCA’s priorities.
To achieve Vision 2030, the global strategy focuses on four areas and works toward 12 strategic goals. The four pillars are Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, Sustainable Planet, and Just World.

Global YMCA partnerships
YMCA Canada works in close partnership with YMCA Area Alliances and regional YMCAs — including the Africa Alliance of YMCAs, YMCA of Latin America and the Caribbean, YMCA Europe, Asia-Pacific Alliance of YMCAs, and YMCA of the USA — to advance shared priorities within the global YMCA movement.
24 Canadian YMCAs are engaged with 16 YMCAs internationally across 14 countries located in Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Our International Safeguarding Policy
YMCA Canada places human dignity at the centre of our work. At the heart of our efforts to build a just, sustainable, equitable, and inclusive world is our engagement with marginalized communities. We also recognize the particular responsibility we have to similarly promote human dignity and social justice within our own organization and maintain a safe and respectful workplace.
