For the ninth year running, the YMCAs in Southern Ontario were selected as the recipients of Zehrs Markets’ Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign. The campaign ran from July 27 to August 9, giving community members the option to add $2 at checkout in support of healthy and active living opportunities for children at their local YMCA.
And Zehrs’ shoppers did not disappoint. They generously donated an astounding $95,725 so that kids in Ontario will be able to participate in health-focused programs at the following YMCAs: YMCAs of Cambridge & Kitchener-Waterloo, YMCA-YWCA of Guelph, YMCA of Hamilton l Burlington l Brantford, YMCA of Niagara, YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce, YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, YMCAs across Southwestern Ontario, YMCA of Stratford-Perth, YMCA of Greater Toronto, and YMCA of Western Ontario.
The YMCA is fortunate to be able to partner with Zehrs, a southern Ontario-based grocery store. Our relationship with Zehrs is an extension of an ongoing collaboration with Loblaws Corporate, which for many years has supported YMCAs across Canada in a variety of ways.
