Scott Haldane, YMCA Canada’s President and CEO, has announced that he will retire at the end of this year. Scott began his YMCA career with the YMCA of Montreal in 1977 and then served as President & CEO of the YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington (1993-2002) and the YMCA of Greater Toronto (2003-2009). He has served as YMCA Canada’s President & CEO since January 1, 2010.

During his tenure, he led the development and implementation of Plan Y, our Federation’s strategic plan. Scott has given his life, his passion, and his many talents to the YMCA in Canada and we are better as a Federation because of his contributions.

Beginning in 2016, Scott will be taking on a role as the first President & CEO of the Rideau Hall Foundation. He will report directly to His Excellency, Governor General David Johnston.
