A.R. Kaufman YMCA Turned into Temporary Homeless Shelter
The YMCA of Cambridge/Kitchener-Waterloo have found a way to support some of the most vulnerable people in their community during COVID-19 by turning one of their closed buildings into a temporary emergency shelter for the homeless.
The shelter that opened at the A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA will provide access to amenities including showers. Work is also underway to expand the location into a daytime drop-in space. Read the story from CBC News.
